I've changed things up...Did you notice?

I long for a three column blog...A lot!

Have found various places that actually walk you right through the steps to do it. Have listened to a couple of people say how easy it is to do it. Have also heard of people who don't quite know what they are doing (me...hello) say they lost everything trying to do it.

I long for a three column blog...

So I decided the next best thing, change my template. Is it better, worse or you never even noticed what it was before, lol.

Sigh.

I leave you with the world's newest 'happy' sensation! Susan Boyle.

If you haven't heard of her by now you soon will.

Four Generations

Me, my Dad, my Great Grandfather and my Grandfather.

I just received a wonderful package from my Dad in which he included some pictures he had gotten developed from slides that my Grandfather had given him a long time ago. There were over 80 in this bunch and I've never previously seen any of them. I love this particular picture. I have absolutely no memory of my Great Grandfather and am completely unaware of when he passed away and until today had no idea this picture even existed.

Just wow.

My little sister and I on my Grandmother's couch. Gotta love that mohawk!

So Many Things!

Wow!
Has it really been that long since I was last here?

Seems like just yesterday doesn't it? Or does it?

So much going on here lately and so little time in which to do it too.

I waited until the VERY last day to get my taxes done! Thankfully I don't actually owe any money.

I finally decided to do something about my empty, waiting to be looked at Facebook. That was something I started about a year ago and even had a couple friend requests. It intimidated me so much I just "walked" away. Hehe. I say they have re-vamped over there as I found it much easier this time. I even managed to reconnect with a couple of people from High School there.

I joined a swap on Craftster a while back and as we were shipping back and forth from Spain to the US we had our usual shipping issues.
Thankfully everything worked out all right and I'm finally able to post what we swapped.

This is King Karl. I sent him to Phizzychick.

This is the fabulous inchie clock she sent to me!

I also thought I would add a cute little pic of my tiny new seedlings.

A couple of years ago I bought a large bag of mixed wild flower seeds with the intention of, well, planting them. They've been sitting in my fridge ever since. tsk tsk.

I have this big empty planter up front and it was just begging for attention.

I planted my seeds last weekend! Aren't they adorable? I can count three different kind right now. Unfortunately, I threw away the bag that told me exactly what was contained in the bag...

Can't take me any where, hehe.

Saw this pretty little guy on my way back in the house. He was very busy.

Is It Springtime?

I am most definitely ready for spring but our weather here lately has been...weird.
One day it is almost 80 degrees and then it drops to 60 and the winds start to howl.

Perfect example, yesterday was gorgeous. Not too hot and I was able to work outside without a jacket. Today, not so much. The winds are picking up and when I went outside to grab the mail I wondered if I shouldn't go back inside and grab my jacket first. It even looks a little like rain.

Hoping it clears up by morning. I'm wanting to have a yard sale. I've got tons of stuff that is just begging to go live someplace else!

I admit to having this very idea in my head for quite some time but just never got around to attempting to execute it. I found these little votive/candleholders at the thrift store and thought they would be perfect for Mr Bee. I also admit to being a little worried that my grand plan wouldn't come out nearly as great as it looked in my head.

I am very pleased. It turned out exactly the way I had hoped it would.
I call these typography eggs. There are 18 in this picture. 6 large ones and 12 smaller.
Three of the eggs have met with an unfortunate accident since this photo was taken. Apparently if you leave said eggs in a dish on the floor they are to be considered either dog food or strange toys. Either way, it wasn't pretty.

My attempt at becoming a hand model. I figured if George Costanza could do it so could I...hehe.
On the subject of George Costanza I found this hilarious montage of George-isms. Enjoy!
